Musical Director

Arlene McMahon

                                                                                Welcome Arlene!!

Arlene has just recently begun working with us as our new director and hopefully she will decide that Reading A'Cappella Voices is a good fit for her.

She is a retired nursing professor and comes to us with over 30 years in barbershop.  In Sweet Adelines, she sang in man choruses and quartets, coached, directed, participated in the international contest and won an international gold medal with the Valle Forge Chorus.  She is currently an active member of the Liberty Belles Chorus.

Arlene is the mother of four and grandmother of three and delights in the musical endeavors of her children and grandchildren.  She is delighted to be working with the wonderful ladies of the Reading A'Cappella Voices.

She has also started doing Personal Voice Instructions (PVIs) with everyone in the chorus and we are very grateful to her.  During this difficult distancing period, we have begun working online in ZOOM meetings and look forward to being able to get together again very soon.
